Guests are welcome to attend the Welcome Reception and the small group networking dinners. If your guest plans to attend any events with you, please contact Tucker Plunkett at tplunkett@mcglinchey.com or (615) 762-9081 so that we may plan to accommodate them.

What's the dress code?

We suggest business casual dress for all events, including cocktail receptions and Networking Dinners. Some New Orleans restaurants require gentlemen to wear jackets; we will notify Networking Dinner attendees of any restaurant-specific dress requirements.

What should I bring with me?

We will provide charging stations for electronics, and laptops and tablets are welcome. We will provide notepads and pens, but encourage attendees to bring their own notebooks and writing instruments if they prefer. Be sure to bring business cards for networking events.

October in New Orleans is generally pleasant with temperatures in the 70s or 80s. You may want to bring a small umbrella with you.

We do our best throughout the sessions to ensure a comfortable environment for our guests, but we suggest bringing a sweater or jacket with you in case the ballrooms are colder than normal.

What are the transportation options in the city?

Pedicabs

Offering an environmentally friendly form of transportation, pedicabs are available in the Central Business District, French Quarter, and surrounding neighborhoods. Eco-friendly, efficient, and fun, a pedicab is a great way to get across the Quarter, go to and from your hotel, or just make a trip across town in style and comfort, all while avoiding the frustration of traffic and parking. Hail a pedicab on the street or through the hotel concierge. Friendly drivers will tell you their rates and get you where you need to go.

The Canal Street streetcar line, with its trademark red streetcars, also runs from Harrah’s at the riverfront to New Orleans City Park in Mid-City. Fares are $1.25 each way (exact change, cash only for all fares; streetcars and buses do not make change). Jazzy Passes, offering unlimited rides on all streetcar and bus lines, are available for purchase from streetcar and bus drivers, online at www.norta.com, at local Walgreens stores, at RTA ticket vending machines, and at any CVB Visitor Center. Single-day passes are $3.00 and three-day passes are $9.00.
